GovFest for Entrepreneurs
GovFest for Entrepreneurs – a global entrepreneurship week event is on November 17th at the Central Resource Library in Overland Park KS. Exhibits start at 11 and finish at 6pm. Do you own a small business or want to start one? Did you know there are government and nonprofit agencies available to help businesses start and grow for little or no cost? The Johnson County Library’s annual GovFest brings these agencies together, providing easy access for the beginning entrepreneur or small business seeking help to grow. There will be exhibits, targeted programs, panel discussions and a wealth of information to help your business. No registration required.

26th Annual British Faire
Shop for a variety of British goods, foods & cheese, tea, Celtic jewelry, antiques, books and holiday goods. Entertainment provided by local dancers, musicians and more. Children’s room. Lee’s Summit Oktoberfest
The Lee’s Summit Oktoberfest is on September 23rd and 24th in Historic Downtown Lee’s Summit. Carnival only on Sunday. The event is presented by Sprint and Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce. Oktoberfest offers three stages of live entertainment, arts & craft booths, a carnival, German fare, a traditional Biergarten, children’s activities, baby and wiener dog contests, and much, much more!

Annual Weston Applefest
Weston’s Applefest is a popular annual event known throughout the Midwest as one of the best fall festivals in Missouri. This 23nd annual festival features demonstrations of:
- quilting,
- basket weaving,
- cider pressing and apple butter making,
- displays by artisans and crafters,
- live music both days, all back on Main Street.
The Garden Harvest Market will have all your fall favorites, pumpkins, Indian corn, gourds, dried peppers, milo, cornstalks, bittersweet vines and other seasonal vegetables.
