Raspberry Meadows Craft Show is on Friday March 12th and Saturday March 13th at The Pavilion at John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit. The show hours are Friday, March 12th from 11am to 7pm, and Saturday, March 13th from 10am to 4pm. Parking as always is free and this year will be another exciting year of spring favorites from the regions most skilled crafters.

Women’s Living History Weekend is on March 13th and March 14th. In honor of Women’s History Month, the role of women during the Fort’s occupation is interpreted highlighting traditional activities such as cooking, sewing and gardening. St. Patrick’s Day Family Fair at the Irish Museum and Cultural Center will be from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday March 17th. Bring your entire family to the Irish Center before or after the Parade! There will be family-friendly games, crafts, music, contests and refreshments all day! While everyone’s having fun, we’ll also learn something about our Irish heritage! Detailed schedule will be posted soon. Workshops include Irish dance, penny whistle and bodhran (Celtic drum).

The 36th Annual Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade is from 11am to about 1pm on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th. Kansas City’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, a bell weather of Spring since 1974, will pay tribute to “Going Green” in 2010. After many years Downtown, the nationally-recognized parade will follow a more traditional, neighborhood path.

Taylor Swift will be performing at Sprint Center on April 2nd at 7pm. Taylor Swift, who at 19 is the youngest artist in history to win the Country Music Association’s prestigious Entertainer of the Year Award, will kick off her FEARLESS 2010 Tour on February 4 in Brisbane, Australia and play five shows Down Under before beginning her North American run on March 4 in Tampa, Florida. In 2010, Taylor will headline 37 shows in 29 cities in 22 states and provinces in the U.S. and Canada.
