Looking for something to do this Saturday? Come to Breakfast with the Easter Bunny followed by an Easter Egg Hunt at Powell Gardens in Kingsville, MO. Meet and greet the Easter Bunny during a hot breakfast buffet at Powell Gardens’ Café Thyme. Afterward at 11 a.m. sharp, children 10 and under can take part in an Easter egg hunt. (A combination ticket that includes Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Garden admission and the Easter egg hunt is available–call for pricing.) Reservations are essential: Call 816-697-2600 x209

Easter Egg Hunt

Children 10 and under will meet on the rolling green lawns of Powell Gardens for a traditional Easter Egg hunt, complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny. After the hunt, visitors can stay to enjoy the Gardens in their early spring glory. The price is $5 for children, which includes the hunt and Garden admission. Adults pay regular admission of $9.50 or $8.50/seniors or free/members. A combination ticket that includes Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Garden admission and the Easter egg hunt is available.

Gashland United Methodist Church’s annual Easter Spring Fling event is this Saturday morning, April 3rd. Come and share some quality fun time with your kids. This Gashland UMC Easter Spring Fling is fun filled with action packed set of activities for all kids in the 5th grade and under. The event is presented by Gashland UMC to provide each of them with a chance to make new friends, hunt for Easter eggs and have some FUN. They will be able to participate in face painting, eat snacks, enjoy a short story, be challenged in our Egg drop game, spend time in making crafts and enjoy some time in music. And they also will have an opportunity to play in the Bounce House located at the Air Zone just north of the church.

This Saturday, April 3rd, C.O.P.P.’s (Care of Poor People) is holding their 20th Annual Spring Break Outreach Event. Care of Poor People, otherwise referred to as C.O.P.P. Inc is a non- profit organization that is dedicated to helping those that are struggling in our community as well as teaching other communities how to do the same!   We aid the homeless as well as people that have housing, but have fallen into hard times and simply need some assistance for the basic necessities to live. They need alot of help to make this event happen.

Donated Items needed for men, women and children

New items needed: Please consider donating new items such as:  Underwear, summer clothing, rain gear, athletic shoes, Socks, toys, light weight blankets, duffel (gym) bags or back packs,  and Baby needs such as diapers, clothes, food, etc.

Gently Used items needed: Summer type clothing like short sleeve shirts, t shirts, pajamas, socks, toys and athletic shoes, light weight blankets, back packs. Please only donate clean items.

Personal Health Care Items: Shampoo, deodorant, soap, tooth brushes, tooth paste, combs, hair brushes, diapers , ointments and wipes for babies.

Cooked Food For Pot Luck Dinner: Casseroles, hot dogs, chili, soup, salads, meat dishes, pasta dishes, pies, cakes, cookies, candy – You name it! If you’re a cook bring us your specialty.
