Mayor’s Christmas Tree Walk

The 4th Annual Mayor’s Christmas Tree Walk in Kearney MO is this Saturday November 21st. Time to dust off the Christmas lights and decorations, and decorate a tree in Jesse James Park! Come see the Christmas trees and lights around the lake. There will be free hot chocolate and cookies, Christmas carols and a visit from Santa. This is a free event. This event is open to anyone who wants to decorate a tree.

Free Thanksgiving Day Dinner and Meal Deliveries

The Salvation Army’s Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner and Meal Deliveries in on November 27th at 101 W. Linwood, Kansas City, MO. This event will be from from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a traditional Thanksgiving dinner served free to the public. Volunteers also deliver meals to the homebound starting at 10:30am.

Boo at the View

Get ready for Boo at the View, Trunk or Treat event for Children up to 12 years of age. This is a free event at The View Community Center in Grandview MO. Join them for a different twist on The Boo: Bring your trick or treating candy and kids in costume, down to The View for some Trunk or Treating fun! Pull right into the parking stall, open your trunk and hand out candy from your trunk, instead of from your house! “kids, get into the trunk or treating while Mom or Dad hands out candy!” Don’t forget to decorate your trunk.

Rockhurst University Safe Trick-or-Treat

Children looking for an alternative to making the neighborhood rounds on Halloween night this year can tour a haunted house, play games and enjoy refreshments and candy at the 19th annual Rockhurst University Safe Trick-or-Treat, from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 31, at the Rockhurst University Community Center, 5401 Troost Avenue. The event is free to children 12 and under accompanied by an adult. The Rockhurst University Community Center is located at the entrance of Rockhurst University, on the corner of 54th Street and Troost Avenue.
