New Landings (NL) is sponsoring their fourth Career Expo on April 1, 2010. 50 local Kansas City business are participating in the New Landings Career Expo for job seekers. The purpose of this career fair is to provide job seekers with networking opportunities with recruiters and businesses in Johnson County and the surrounding greater Kansas City area.

The 22nd Annual Veterans and Military Personnel Career Fair will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 10:00 am until 2:30 pm at Ararat Shrine Temple, 5100 Ararat Drive (Just off 435 and Eastwood Trafficway). Sponsors and supporters of the job fair include Kansas City Veterans Career Fair Inc., The Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Missouri Career Center, the Full Employment Council and the Missouri Veterans Commission.

RecruitMilitary is holding a free career fair in Kansas City MO on Thursday, July 23rd. There will be many veteran-friendly employers there ready to give face-to-face interviews. RecruitMilitary is the only nationwide, full-service military-to-civilian recruiting firm, says John Lundberg, spokesman for RecruitMilitary.  While the unemployment rate is up in both Kansas and Missouri and the statistics are even higher for returning soldiers, there is hope for employment for those who keep going to carrer fairs and job events.
