Franklin County Fair and Rodeo
The Franklin County Fair and Rodeo in Ottawa, KS, starts today. Come for the URA rodeo, exhibits, demolition derby, 4-H displays, carnival and livestock auction. One of the oldest fairs in Kansas, 2010 will mark the 145th annual.
Livestock and 4-H judging begins Wednesday;
Thursday night is the annual community BBQ and youth rodeo;
Friday night is the annual Rodeo;
Saturday night is the annual livestock sale and demolition derby.
Each day event-goers can view exhibits, enjoy the carnival and rides in the Midway, and sample the hearty fair food.

Missouri State Fair 2009
The 2009 Missouri State Fair is going on right now in Sedalia, MO! It started yesterday, August 13th and will run until August 23rd. There are 396 acres with more fun than ever and an affordable-family-value. You will find lots of free professional entertainment at the fair. This MO State Fair is an 11-day event that features hundreds of free demonstrations and exhibits highlighting agriculture innovation, green initiatives and other timely consumer topics like couponing. Also shop a Farmers Market!

Platte County Fair
The 146th Annual Platte County Fair is here. The fair has been an annual event in Plattte County community since the first fair in 1863. It is recorded as being the oldest continuously operating fair west of the Mississippi River. The fair draws participants and spectators from a 100-mile radius, and in some cases even further.

Kansas State Fair 2009
The Kansas State Fair is back this year in Hutchinson, KS. The annual Kansas State Fair is held annually beginning the Friday following Labor Day and lasts for 10 days at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas. The largest single event in the State, the Fair annually attracts approximately 350,000 people from all 105 Kansas counties and several other states.
The Fair offers tremendous opportunities:
- for commerce with over 1,000 commercial exhibit locations;
- for competition, with over 30,000 entries in various competitive exhibit departments;
- for education, through its Kansas’ Largest Classroom field trip program; and
- for entertainment with strolling and stage entertainment in addition to the national acts performing at the Grandstand.
