The Tree Lighting Ceremony at Legends Outlets will be on Saturday November 20th this year. There will be live music by local musicians from six popular bands and lots of fun things to do.

Live Music: Local musicians from six popular bands come together to perform a current upbeat twist on holiday classics

• Heather Thornton,
• Sara Brazil from 90 Minutes,
• Terry Wright from Peanut Butter Hamster,
• Brandon Miller from The Brandon Miller Band and
• Chad Bourquin from Lipriddle

7:00 p.m.: NBC Meteorologist Brett Anthony and Santa Claus emcee the lighting ceremony and countdown to a holiday tree decorated with a unique display of animated lights synchronized to music.

“My Santa Experience” opens across from Forever 21 with a FREE open house (visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Following the ceremony from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., standard packages will be available for purchase. Read the rest of this entry »

13th Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony at Leawood City Hall will be on November 22nd at 6pm. Join Leawood Mayor, Peggy Dunn, for holiday caroling, refreshments, and lights as the City of Leawood kicks off the holiday season by illuminating City Hall during the 13th Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony.

Performing this year will be:

• the Leawood Singers,
• the Church of the Resurrection Youth Choir, and
• the Mission Trail Elementary School Choir.

The Mayor will hit the lights at 6:00 p.m. followed by light refreshments served in the foyer of City Hall.

The event is sponsored by Commerce Bank.
