Description: The Old Shawnee Days is an annual event hosted by the City of Shawnee, Kansas. There is a big, multiple award winning, Old Shawnee Days’ Parade which is one of the largest in the State of Kansas. The 2009 Old Shawnee Days has the “Days to Remember” theme with the Grand Marshall’s Trophy presented to the best overall unit.
This is a free, fun, family event. Registration to enter the parade is also free. All concerts and entertainment are free of charge. There will be food, drink, crafts and carnival. Lots of vendors will be there.
Dates and Times of the Old Shawnee Days Event in 2009
-Thursday, June 4th, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm (carnival and concert only)
-Friday, June 5th, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
-Saturday, June 6th, 10:00 am parade, festival 11:00 am to 10:00 pm
-Sunday, June 7th, 11:30 am to 6:00 pm
Arrive early as there are always tons of people at this event.
