The 39th Annual Jesse James Festival 2009 is scheduled for September 11-13, 15, 17, and 18-20, 2009 in Kearney, Missouri. The Year 2009 marks the 39th year of the Annual Jesse James Festival, held in Kearney, Missouri. This special event held each year, during the 3rd weekend of September, will include activities to celebrate the occasion. This quiet little Missouri town, which was previously named Centreville, is the birthplace and boyhood home of Jesse James, as well as his final resting place.

There will be lots of fun entertainment and activities including:

• A carnival,
• parade,
• rodeo,
• historic re-enactments,
• craft exhibits, and a
• KCBS-sanctioned Bar-B-Que cookoff

The fun starts the weekend before the Festival with a Teen Dance, and other events during the week. The schedule of events makes up a full weekend of fun for the family.  There is a $5 per vehicle parking fee.
