Grand Festival of Chez les Canses

Do you like history? Experience Missouri’s rich colonial past as Fort Osage celebrates the community of “Chez les Canses” which would later become Kansas City in this Grand Festival of Chez les Canses. This festival is a unique gathering of re-enactors who will accurately portray early French and Native American inhabitants and the Irish, English, German and Scottish colonists who were arriving from the East. Fort Osage is a reconstructed historic fort overlooking the Missouri River.
