The 2010 Lawrence Spring Arts & Crafts Fest is this Saturday March 6th. The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department hosts four arts and crafts fairs per year for exhibitors to showcase and sell their work. The festivals include:

• Spring Arts and Crafts Festival – March
• Fall Arts and Crafts Festival – September
• Holiday Bazaar – November
• Holiday Extravaganza – December

This Lawrence Twestival event is a Twitter-based festival to benefit the Lawrence Humane Society with music by DJ Soapis. There will be door prizes and the first 200 attendees get the goody bags full of amazing goodies. All proceeds benefit the Humane Society, advocating for:

• Animal Welfare & Providing Humane Sheltering,
• Pet Adoptions,
• Lost & Found Programs,
• Emergency Rescues,
• Cruelty Investigations,
• Humane Education,
• Liason & Outreach.

You buy your ticket for either $12 in advance or $15 at the door.
