The 30th Annual Gladstone Gladfest or Gladfest 30 for short is going on this weekend, from October 2nd to October 4th.This is the Gladstone, Missouri’s annual Fall Festival hosted by the Gladstone Area Chamber of Commerce. This event is voted the Best Festival in the Northland! Admission is free. Gladfest is a wonderful fall festival with something for everyone! You may enjoy daily entertainment from Center Stage. Don’t miss Saturday morning’s Parade or Sunday’s Classic Car Show! A Carnival will be open all three days for kids of all ages. The Carnival will offer an “All You Can Ride” wristband special on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. There will be live music and entertainment that will satisfy the entire family. These include a carnival, parade, booths, live music, food, train/car show, and contests for every age. Kid’s Corner will once again be sponsored by Faubion United Methodist Church, offering activities and fun stuff for children. Their tent will be located next to Center Stage. Fine arts and hand-crafted items will be displayed in the Craft Tents along Cherry Street, plus others along 70th Street and N. Holmes, as well as inside City Hall.

Bring out the whole family to TOUCH-A-TRUCK! Stop by from noon to 3 p.m. and see lots of trucks and special vehicles. See them up close, touch them, sit in them, maybe even get your picture taken inside! Learn about how these special trucks and vehicles are used by businesses and by others to serve the community and help create jobs! Vehicles are provided by: Independence Police Department, Kansas City Police Department, Charles R. Long Army Reserve Center, Independence Fire Department, AMR, Independence Power and Light, Blue Bell Ice Creameries, Shatto Milk, Lazer Tow, Deffenbaugh Inc.,
