Lenexa Waterfest
The annual Lenexa water festival is back! This Saturday August 1st from 10am to 2pm, you can be at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park (87th and Lackman Road) for the 10th annual Lenexa Waterfest. This is a fun celebration that always draws a crowd. This is a day dedicated to nothing but water. The event is free and kids love it.
What is Waterfest?
Waterfest is a day for Lenexa residents to join together to celebrate water. A free event, Waterfest offers numerous interactive, educational booths that provide water quality, stormwater and other environmental information, as well as entertainment and many water-related activities that appeal to all ages.
Activities at the Lenexa Waterfest
There will be more than 30 different booths and activities there including:
- paddle boats,
- canoeing,
- cane-pole fishing,
- waterslides,
- wacky water games,
- moonwalks,
- face painting,
- Lenexa Fire Department Deluge and more.
Personable pets dog training will also do a dog agility demonstration.
Entertainment includes:
- Operation Wildlife,
- Laughing Matters jugglers,
- Grandpa Pokey face painting and balloon art, and
- local bands Abbey Road and Calypso Bluz.
