Save the date for the 27th Annual Best Little Arts and Craft Show in Independence MO on Friday November 20th and Saturday November 21st. The Best Little Arts and Craft Show in Independence is hosted by the Independence Parks and Recreation Dept. Get started on your holiday shopping by browsing through four floors with more than 120 booths offering a wide variety of arts and crafts. The craft show, held in the Roger T. Sermon Community Center, 201 N.Dodgion Ave., features both local and regional vendors, all selling original wares.

Santa’s Winter Wonderland at Bass Pro

Santa’s Winter Wonderland at Bass Pro in Independence MO starts this Sunday November 8th. From November 8th to December 24th, there will be a massive interactive play area where kids can write letters to Santa, make crafts, play in an arcade, watch operating running train sets, and visit with Santa Claus. Each child can have their picture taken with Santa, and get a free 5×7 photo.

Holiday Open House on Independence Square

The Holidays have arrived on the Independence Square! Enjoy the festive atmosphere as you meander through the sparkling shops and begin that holiday shopping! Stroll through decorated shops to see the new Christmas merchandise and enjoy an occasional cookie or treat. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The festivities will begin at 2pm with the arrival of jolly old St. Nick himself in a horse drawn sleigh. The rest of the day will include school choirs, a performance by the Missouri Town Village Dancers and visits with Santa. The shops of the Square have decorated their windows for the Holidays and will add to the celebration by opening their doors for the annual Holiday Open House.

Halloween Parade and Trick or Treating on Independence Square

Halloween Parade and Trick or Treating on the Historic Independence Square is this Saturday, October 31st. The Halloween Parade is sponsored by the Independence Chamber of Commerce. Take your children to Independence Square from 1-3 p.m. for trick or treating in participating shops, followed by the annual Halloween Parade at 3 p.m.. Call 816-461-0065 for trick or treating and 816-252-4745 to register your group in the parade.
