Enjoy Saturday evening in the park while listening to music. This is a family fun event in Shawnee, KS. The Saturday in the Park event starts at 6 p.m. and finishes around 8:30 p.m. This is an event for the whole family! There will be performances by:

• “Mr. Stinky Feet,”
• Jim Cosgrove and
• the Hiccups.

Enjoy free hotdogs, chips and sno-cones! And there will be plenty of fun activities, games, drawings and giveaways to keep everyone entertained! Admission is free.

Friday August 14th is a Benefit Concert with Jim Cosgrove. The concert will be at Shawnee Civic Center, in Shawnee, KS from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. There will be an auction before the concert as well as pigment pie face painting.  This is an Autism Speaks Benefit Concert.

Jim Cosgrove (Mr. Stinky Feet) will perform about 7 p.m.

Summit Fair Back to School Bash is this weekend. To celebrate the Missouri Sales Tax Holiday and the opening of Macy’s and JC Penney at Lee’s Summit’s newest shopping center, Summit Fair will host a Back-to-School. This is a free event. The event will feature an entire weekend of family fun, including:

• headline act Choo Choo Soul and Mr. Stinky Feet,
• courtyard concerts,
• live art,
• magicians,
• face painters,
• a sunset street movie featuring E.T.,
• trackless train rides,
• giant sand sculptures,
• photos with Hello Kitty,
