The Ninth Annual Eagle Day

The Ninth Annual Eagle Day event sponsored by by the Kansas City Kansas Public Library, Board of Public Utilities and Operation Wildlife is this Saturday January 16th. Everyone is invited to the Mr. & Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library, an environmental learning center located on the west side of Wyandotte County Lake Park, 91st and Leavenworth Rd. for a day of learning about our national symbol.

Lenexa Waterfest

It is summer and it is hot so people are looking forward to the Lenexa Waterfest, especially kids because there will be tons of great, fun activities there. This is the 10th annual Lenexa Waterfest, a day to celebrate water and all activities are all water related (somehow). There will also be paddle boats, canoeing, cane pole fishing, waterslides, monwalks, wacky water games, and more. The Lenexa Fire Dept will also be there for anyone interested in learning about putting out fire, safety, and what the department does in general. This is a free event full of fun things to do and lots of entertainment from 10 to 2.
