KC Cash sponsors free tax assistance at numerous sites around Kansas City. See the list of free tax assistance locations below to get help with filing and preparing your tax return this year. The dates and times vary. KC CASH (Creating Assets Savings & Hope) is broad-based Kansas City coalition of government- and community-based organizations, financial and educational institutions, and the business community. Through the IRS-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, KC CASH offers free tax preparation of federal and state returns to low- and moderate-income working families in the Kansas City metro area.
