Tomorrow is Halloween! There are lots of events happening right here in the Kansas City Metro area. Kids love to go trick or treating to get lots of candies while dressed up in their favorite Halloween costumes. Below is a list of some of the places, shopping centers and events that you can take your children to trick or treat.

Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop is hosting their Halloween event called Trick or Treat OFF the Street on Saturday October 24, 2009. Take a nighttime stagecoach ride, play games in the Heritage Center for treats, and trick or treat on the Mahaffie Grounds. Admission is $3/person, ages 3 and up and INCLUDES all of the activities!

The Olathe Police Department will be handing out safety information in the Heritage Center parking lot and the Olathe Fire Department will be there too. Visit the Mahaffie Grounds to Trick or Treat at the different buildings. Several organizations and businesses will be handing out treats! They include the Olathe Junior Service League, the Optimist Club, and the Tractor Supply Company of Olathe. Join them for a special effort to raise money for the United Way.

City of Olathe employees and departments will display their carved pumpkins at each Trick or Treat station. You can vote on the Best Carved Pumpkin by tossing your spare change into the jar next to each pumpkin.  The top five pumpkins with the most spare change win with all proceeds going to the United Way.

As it gets darker, enjoy the displays of ‘Glow in the Dark Pumpkins’ too. You can also purchase concessions from the Olathe Special Olympics will all proceeds benefiting Olathe Special Olympians too. Come join the fun for this Trick Or Treat fun!
